When we look at the Portuguese’s relationship with Portugal, we have the worst of two worlds. We are a country with many people who are dependent on the state and we are a country with many people who are suspicious of the state. Lots of people gather. In other words, it is at the same time very dependent – because it receives its salary or retirement from the state or because it ensures its health – and also very suspicious – because it disregards the political class, because it devalues ​​citizenship obligations or because their solidarity is extremely tight social circle is limited.
