Covid-19 in Portugal: 76 more deaths and 1,570 cases. Hospital stays are on the decline | Coronavirus

On the last day, Portugal recorded 76 more deaths from Covid-19 and 1570 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, according to the bulletin published this Saturday and Friday by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

There are currently fewer than 300 people in the hospital in the country and 13 fewer in intensive care units.

Portugal remains in a state of emergency with several restrictions to stop the virus from spreading, including closed kindergartens and schools.

In the previous bulletin published on Friday, Portugal had recorded 67 more deaths from Covid-19 and 1940 new cases of infection on Thursday. It was the lowest number of deaths since the January 1 bulletin when 66 deaths were announced.
