Another casualty of the economy, a litter of tiny kittens were left behind when owners moved out of their homes. Lucky for this litter, they were rescued by a Good Samaritan and brought into foster care with Rescued Paws.

The kittens were given names in honor of the Native Americans who settled the region: Charu, Peanki, Dayita, Channi, and Salvan. Charu is the only male in the litter born March 2. He’s surviving just fine among his rowdy sisters.

Meet Wizard

One of the most important requirements for Wizard’s new family is someone with a good throwing arm. This boy LOVES his ball. He will chase it for hours as long as you are throwing it. I know there is grey on his muzzle and clouds on his eyes - but there is nothing ‘senior’ in his attitude or his behavior. Wizard still thinks he is young - just watch him fly after that ball.

Chase is a friendly 3 year old dog that had a good start in life. Unfortunately, his family lost their home in the country and he landed in a small urban setting that didn’t provide the exercise, stimulation and routine that this boy needs.

River was rescued after being found, abandoned in an Eastern Washington orchard with two young pups.

Unfortunately the coyotes got one pup and the other went to another rescue when he was old enough to be on his own.

Wally’s face says it all. Have you ever seen a happier expression? But look at those scars. Wally was used as a bait dog, and ended up in a high kill shelter in Spokane. He was rescued from sure death by an unlikely “rescuer”: a prison training program.

Beauty once lived in a gorgeous castle, where her every need was met. She was showered with attention. Too much attention. The King became jealous and insisted that the cat should go! (It was either him or the cat, he threatened.) He was not going to share. The Queen, unfortunately, chose to keep the King, and poor Beauty was sent packing.
