Local resident creates organic sweet treat – Gelato!

“Gelato simply means frozen, and in Italy they used to use almonds and sorbets, but it’s a gelato,” said Heather Bishop, owner of Bishop’s Vegan Gelato.

You might call it vegan ice cream, or gelato, I simply call it delicious. I had the opportunity to sit down with local resident, Heather Bishop, and learn about her delightful creation. In 2008 she became health conscious aware, and she wanted to find something healthy yet flavorful. With her passion for food and cooking, she has found her calling.
