RAM Jewelers enter the playing field in Longview Jewelry arena

September 1, 2010 by Michelle Myre

Introducing a new jewelry Retail and Repair store in Longview! Josh and Nicole Lamb, passionate about their industry, have opened up RAM Jewelers, found at 1409 – 14th Ave in Longview, WA. Although new, there is a great possibility that Josh has worked on your jewelry already!

Graduating from the Gemelogical Institute of America in 1999, and known as a GIA Graduate Jeweler, Josh has worked repairing jewelry around Cowlitz County for retail jewelers, such as Fred Meyer Jewelers.

But let’s start at the beginning, shall we?

The Lamb family are proud members of the ‘23 Club. Great Grandma came over to Longview in 1923 to help establish her family and new residence, and great grandpa Lamb helped dig out Lake Sacajawea!

Proud “locals”, Josh and Nicole are extremely active in the community.

“We know that the only thing we all have – is each other in the community! Josh and I are so invested in this community simply because we love it here,” exclaimed Nicole in a recent interview.

You can’t help but catch their passion and zeal regarding their heart for both the community and their new business.

According to both Josh and Nicole, customer service is number one top priority.

“For example, working with heirloom pieces is quite a delicate process, both physically and emotionally. We take the utmost care and time needed to ensure that we can help restore that memory. That’s what it is – it’s a memory piece, and should be treated as such,” said Nicole, “and we understand that completely.”

After some various business changes at a previous employer, Josh and Nicole decided to branch out on their own, to continue offering high quality and professional jewelry repair and now retail.

“We explored the opportunity to provide our service to the general public, and went for it,” stated Josh. “Now I can offer custom design so if someone wants a wedding band with skulls and diamonds for teeth – it’s not a problem! I can do pretty much whatever is asked of us, and it is absolutely the most fun to do that!”

When asked about their sales staff, it was firmly stated that they are not on a commission basis, but on straight salary.

“It is our goal to service our clients without the feeling of someone ‘going for a sale’. Our staff is trained to help you find exactly what you are looking for,” said Nicole.

In keeping with their ‘local’ theme and passion, RAM Jewelers have used as many local vendors as possible for the goods and services that are involved in opening a new store. Many of their jewelry vendors are based in the USA as well! Sticking as close to Longview as possible, they branch out from there.”

When you visit RAM Jewelers, you will see that many pieces in the cases are showroom pieces. This means you can customize and change each piece to your desire.

Want sapphires instead of diamonds? Not a problem. Like it in white gold instead of Platinum? It’s yours! This flexibility offers a wide range of fun when choosing out your next fantastic piece of jewelry, whether it is a wedding set, anniversary piece or just a special item for you!

Also buying Gold and selling estate jewelry.

I would encourage you to come visit this fun, friendly, hip and cool new local jewelry store, which offers their passion and expertise in the form of high quality, professional repair and retail pieces. They offer free inspections and cleanings for any piece, and highly recommend inspecting your jewelry once every six month for active “wearers”. They told me I’d better get my wedding ring looked at because the side stones were almost ready to come out! (Thanks Josh – you can be sure I will!!)

RAM Jewelers are open from Tuesday through Friday, 10am – 6pm and Saturday 10am – 2pm. Located at 1409 – 14th Ave, Longview WA and reached at (360)425-3068.
