Calling All Scottish Enthusiasts! 2010 Highlander Festival 9/11-12

At beautiful Tam O’Shanter Park on Saturday, Sept 11th, the festivities begin with a fun run/walk 15K road race, Highland Dance Competition, Highland Games and Piping Competition.
At noon will be the Welcome & Parade of Clans.
The Shortbread Contest will be held in the Covered Area at Tam O’Shanter Park on Saturday.
Throughout the weekend there will be entertainment by The Wicked Tinkers and Tempest.
Experience a whole weekend of Scottish & Celtic culture, with the Avenue of Clans, Scottish craft & food vendors, Scottish music & competitions, Scottish Shortbread Competition and a Silent Auction on Sat.
10am Saturday kicks off the Highlander Festival Parade.
There will be a Golf Tournament at Kelso Three Rivers Golf Course on Sunday. Tee off is at 10:00 AM.
On Sunday, September 12th, there will be a Kirkin O’ the Tartan Worship Service at Tam O’Shanter Park at 8:30 AM and again at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Kelso.
The Highland Games will begin at the park at 9:00 AM with those hardy lads and lasses tossing the caber and throwing the stone. Entertainment all afternoon.
The Kelso Rotary will be holding their Annual Duck Race in the afternoon raising money for charities and scholarships.
