Yesterday evening, about 8 o’clock, as George Peters was returning to Kelso from a trip to Green river, his automobile turned turtle a short distance south of the point where H.P. Christenson of Portland met with disaster several weeks ago. The cut made by construction of the new track for the railroad has left the county road very narrow, and when Peters attempted to turn out to pass a lady in a vehicle the soft earth gave way and the machine went over the embankment, landing bottom up. Alfred Johnson, a prosperous West Side farmer, informs us that he was unable to get a telephone line from this city to his place, so he is building a line of his own to Kelso.

By the way, have you noticed that nice double team that Booth & Raglin are now sporting? Their business has grown to such an extent that it is too much for one horse to do the delivering, so they have added one. And it’s a “mighty purty” team, too.

The Castle Rock Exhibit Hall and Visitor Information Center is looking for some bright, friendly, well-informed folks to help staff the center.

Duties include: opening and closing the center; helping visitors (in person or by phone) with info on area attractions, local businesses, and events; becoming familiar with various travel brochures in the center; and guiding visitors through the museum / exhibit hall.
