‘Spell-ebration’ 2010 is here

Altrusa International of Cowlitz County (The Breakfast Bunch) is holding their second annual Adult Spelling Bee at 7 p.m. on March 17th at the Kelso Theater Pub.

Three person teams are invited to compete for prizes and “bragging rights.” Words will be selected from the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary. There will also be prizes for best team costumes. “Word Mulligans” are available for purchase.

This will be a fast-paced, fun-filled evening for competitors and spectators alike, with pizza, door prizes and spirited competition. Team members must be 21 or older, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun and participate in the audience.

Proceeds are earmarked for The Breakfast Bunch’s community service projects, which include help for the Emergency Support Shelter, scholarships, and local literacy programs.

Team registration is $75 for a team of three. Audience tickets are $8. A slice of pizza is included in the price.
