From the Editor’s Desk - February 2010

“I LOVE the Valley Bugler!”, Lexi of Longview sang as she popped her head in our offices one day. It resounds almost every day around our neck of the woods and out on the streets. We hear you! Thank you for your love and appreciation of this community GOOD News newspaper!!

As a team here at the Bugler, we sincerely extend our gratitude and love to you, our readers and our faithful clients. In a way, you LOVE our clients, too! If it weren’t for them, you would not be able to giggle at our funnies or wipe a tear away after reading one of the inspirational stories. Do you enjoy our Sudoku puzzles?

Maybe the Animal Tracks or other great columns we run?

If you find yourself saying “I LOVE the Valley Bugler!!”, then we ask that you also remember the tandem relationship with our advertisers, and “LOVE” them, too!

If you frequent one of their shops, or even just want to give them a call because you saw their ad, be sure to mention you saw them in the Valley Bugler, and thank them for helping get this rag into the racks each month and into your hot little hands.

In honor of February’s “love” month, we courteously ask you to pay special attention to these advertisers.

Since Karen has come on board, we have many many new advertisers who are excited about not only promoting their locally owned businesses, but in supporting this good news newspaper - so YOU can love it!

The more advertisers we have, the more BUGLER you get!! So use your “tandem-ness” to help yourself receive more great stories and even more content by spreading the word to advertisers, or stores that you yourself frequent.

Yes, tandem. Just like love is meant to be.

Tandem, meaning two connected together, is also exemplified this month in our informational Bridal Guide, found on pages 12-15, full of advice for those getting hitched or having anything to do with weddings.

Featured in this section are advertisers who have specific services and or products to help make that special day so very memorable.

This month is all about love, and whether or not you have a single “special someone”, I am guessing you have many friends and family that you love, and who love you in return.

Take time to share with them your love this month, and reap those benefits in return. You know, the kind that warm your heart and put a spring in your step! Lord knows we all need it during the dreary winter!

Here’s to anticipating the ‘love’ that you will share!
