Prepare Fair ‘09

Are you ready for an emergency? Prepare Fair ‘09 is an opportunity for citizens to learn how to be better prepared for personal or community emergencies in a fun, interactive way and to celebrate National Disaster Preparedness Month.
This free event, hosted by Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office Department of Emergency Management, will be held at Kessler Elementary School, 1902 Kessler Blvd in Longview on September 12th from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Participants will include local fire departments, law enforcement, Search and Rescue, Red Cross, Emergency Management and many other agencies! Attendees can learn how to use a fire extinguisher, try on a haz-mat suit, tour emergency services vehicles and equipment, get information about community programs such as Project Lifesaver and Community Emergency Response Team. Prizes will be awarded hourly. The event will also include games, activities and informational demonstrations.
