There was a pilot flying a small single engine charter plane, with a couple of very important executives on board. He was coming into Seattle airport through thick fog with less than 10 miles visibility when his instruments went out. So, he began circling around looking for a landmark. After an hour or so, he starts running pretty low on fuel and the passengers are getting very nervous. Read more
A remarkable event

One day, a guy was on his way home from work when the most remarkable thing happened. Traffic was heavy as usual, and as he sat there at a red light, out of nowhere a bird slammed into his windshield. At beautiful Tam O’Shanter Park on Saturday, September 12th, the festivities begin with a fun run/walk 15K road race, highland dance competition, highland team games and piping competition. At noon will be the welcome and parade of clans. Throughout the weekend at the park, there will be entertainment by various groups.

The Bugler’s Take on the Town Hall

Citizens of Cowlitz County and beyond met at the Cowlitz Regional Conference Center on Wednesday August 19, 2009 for a town hall meeting with Congressman Brian Baird. As the group made it through the labyrinth of exhibits for different sides of the hot issue of the night: Health Care Reform, there was a buzz in the air comprised of both concern and interest felt by all. As the meeting began, the mediator, Ted Sprague, asked the audience for courtesy from an already gracious group.
