“Music in the Park” is HERE! Starting Thursday, July 9th

Abbey Road LIVE! will kick off the Kirkpatrick Family Care Summer Concert Series at the Lake Sacajawea in Longview, WA on Thursday, July 9th.

This stunning musical group is made up of four all-star musicians from the infamous Athens, GA music scene. Abbey Road LIVE! consists of a rocking rendition of the of the late-period Beatles recordings delighting audiences with selections from its repertoire of nearly 100 Beatles tunes.

This “can’t miss” entertainment is the first of seven in the line up for the summer concert series coordinated by Longview Parks and Recreation. Concerts are held Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m at Martin’s Dock in Lake Sacajawea Park in Longview, WA.

2009 Concerts Schedule:

  • July 16 – The Buckaroosters: “All Buck Owens, All the Time” Enjoy the honky-tonk sound from his golden years with his full 5 piece band.
  • July 23  – The Beatniks: The Beatniks perform music of the 60’s & 70’s (and 80’s, too); This band pleases audiences ranging in age from eight to eighty with their signature energy, classic sound and vigorous stage presence.
  • July 30  –Midnight Serenaders: An infectious blend of old-time jazz and early swing, offering up a sweet collection of songs and tunes from the early 20th century.
  • August 6 – The Stellar Fellars: Enjoy top hits of the folk song era, singing the likes of the Kingston Trio and Gordon Lightfoot.
  • August 13 – Hit Machine: This 4 piece band is highly contagious to say the least. Playing hits from all eras, the band has synchronized dance moves and many appropriate ways to involve the crowd in the performance to make it an unforgettable show.
  • August 20 – Deadwood Revival: Foot stompin’, banjo pickin’, harmony singin’, spirit liftin’ new roots music!
