Pug Parade 2009 Recap
June 1, 2009 by Michelle Myre
It was a simply gorgeous day for a pug parade, don’t you think? The sun was brightly shining, the trees were gently swaying, and we probably missed a few puppies whose owners decided to go enjoy the day elsewhere!
Yes, it was the first sunny Saturday in what felt like a millenium, so our numbers were slightly down – that and the fact that the Daily sNews decided to conveniently ‘forget’ to announce the event.
No matter! We had well over FIFTY doggies and their owners gathered in downtown Longview, WA for a beautiful strolling parade up Commerce Avenue!
As you can see by the pics above, we had pugs decked out in leather bomber jackets, argyle and fairy wings, to name a few.
One of my favorite entries was a family of pugs that included one “pug wannabe”. They were the three little pugs and the big bad ‘wolf’. It was hilarious!
They had on ‘houses’ and everything! Pictures don’t do them justice, so you will have to check out

Lucinda Booker and her cohorts from AAPBA (All American Premier Breeds Association) provided some awesome prize baskets, and Doug from the Dog Zone allowed himself to be kissed and snuggled by all pooches, and free fresh biscuits provided by Farm Dog Bakery topped off the event with full bellies and happy puggies.
See you at Pug Parade ‘10!
