Longview Senior Activities – May 2009

The Longview Senior Center located at 1111 Commerce Avenue, Longview is open to all seniors. Membership is only $10/year.

Saturday, May 2nd “Senior Fair” Expo Center

Sunday, May 3rd at 12:30 p.m. Pinochle Tournament. Fee: $5.00

Tuesday, May 5th Designated “Craft” Day, Jewelry Repair $5.00 and Vern Kennedy 1:30 p.m. Kitchen Band (all welcome)

Thursday, May 7th at 11:45 Celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Salsa & chips on each table and a diinner to match. Jose & the Mexican Singers.

Saturday, May 9th & 23rd Saturday Bingo at 12:30. Lunch is served at 11:45 a.m.

Tuesday, May 12th at 12:30 p.m. Downhome Singers and Mother’s Day Tea

Thursday, May 14th, 12:30 p.m. Music by the “Three of Us”.

Sunday, May 17th 12:15 p.m. Cribbage Tournament and potluck lunch. $5.00 fee.

We play one-on-one tournament style.

Tuesday, May 19th at 12:30 p.m. Music by the “Three of Us” and at 1:30 p.m. Kitchen Band (we welcome new players — no musical talent necessary).

Thursday, May 21st at 12:30 p.m. Sally Gene & Friends Band & Dance.

Sunday, May 24th 2 to 5 p.m. Dance with Jack Crocker & the Road Runners. Refreshments will be potluck. $5.00 donation. There will be an “open mic.”

Tuesday, May 26th at 12:30 p.m. Armand’s Country Band.

• Mondays—12:30 and 7:00 p.m. Pinochle
• Tuesdays: 9:00 Line Dance, 10:00 Dominos, at 11:15 a.m., Lunch at Noon and 1-3 p.m. Ladies Pool
• Wednesdays—10:00 Canasta, 10:00 and 12:30 Bingo, Lunch at Noon, 7 p.m. Pinochle
• Thursdays —9:00 Line Dance, 10:00 Games, Lunch at Noon and 1:00 Woodcarvers
• Fridays— 12:30 Pinochle, 1:00 Bunco, 6 p.m. Double Deck Pinochle
• Saturdays– 10-2:00 Drop In, 11-3:00 Games, 7:00 Pinochle
