Do you know your DAV?

Most people are familiar with the V.F.W., or Veterans of Foreign Wars in our area, but not so much the D.A.V., or Disabled American Veterans.
The D.A.V. is a federally recognized organization that is open to all disabled veterans and their family members. There are many types of benefits that are available, that a lot of disabled veterans do not know about, or haven’t had the right guidance in finding.
On September 23rd, at the Cowlitz Tribal Center on 9th Avenue in Longview, the Disabled American National Services Van will appear from 9am – 5pm.
This is a national tour with national officers who are able to answer questions about claims, eligibility and other pertinent items to veterans.
“Lots of folks just don’t know that there are benefits available for them, and this is one wonderful way to get that information to them”, said local Commander David Price.
If you have any questions at all, or just want to learn more about this organization and how it can help you or a family member, please come to the Cowlitz Tribal Center in Longview on September 23rd.
