Longview Senior Activities – August 2008

First Thursday, August 7, The Scrap Iron Band will play at 12:00. Lunch is a full meal prepared by our guest chef: $4.00 for members and $4.50 for non-members.
On the second Thursday, August 14, The Three of Us plays Country-Western, toe-tapping music. Lunch is served for $4.00 for members/$4.50 for non-members.
On the 21st, Thursday, Sallie Jean and Friends plays for seniors with lunch also available.
Eric Parrill, a well-known local banjo player will be livening up the Center on August 26 with blue grass music.
Fundraising rummage sale will be held on August 15 and 16.
A Senior picnic is coming up on August 24 at Lake Sacajawea in the covered picnic area on the Nichols Blvd side of the Lake, near 15th Avenue. Call the Senior Center at 636-6210 for more information.
A busload of seniors will go to Portland and cruise on the Portland Spirit, Monday, September 15th. The cost is $50.00, including bus, cruise, and lunch. Come in early, sign up, and pre-pay, as this should be a popular event.
